Being located in Alaska has it's challenges, and we aim to source Raw Honey from the most cost-effective and reliable sources. Costco Alaska often carries Raw Honey from Washington, and we also have loved buying from Montana through some of our 'Mead' friends. We have had some luck with Alaska 'Baker's Honey' from the Kenai and most of Alaska's Raw Honey is only available from Retail at prices that are not affordable in bulk purchases for making our soda. Most recently our honey comes from a small farm in Marshfield, WI. If you have any honey connections that you'd like to share with us, please contact us! Cheers!

Lue Gim Gong is remembered for his contribution to the orange-growing industry in Florida. In 1888, Lue cross-pollinated the "Harts late" Valencia and "Mediterranean Sweet" orange varieties, which produced a fruit both sweet and frost-tolerant. Originally considered a hybrid, the "Lue Gim Gong" orange was later found to be a nucellar seedling of the "Valencia" variety, which is properly called the "'Lue Gim Gong Strain". Distributed by Glen St. Mary Nurseries, the variety was awarded the Silver Wilder Medal by the American Pomological Society in 1911, the first such award for citrus fruit. The "Lue Gim Gong" variety is still grown in Florida as of 2006, but is sold under the general name "Valencia". Although we are not always able to get Valencia Oranges, we still hoist a cheer whenever possible.
